The Jack Lonergan Foundation

The Jack Lonergan Foundation has been established to promote musical education for young people who may not have access to such opportunities. Working with partner organisations like Merton Music Foundation, our focus is to ensure that financial support and provision of instruments is available to children and young adults who have an appetite to learn to play an instrument, sing, or develop music tech skills.

Money raised by The Jack Lonergan Foundation supports children from low income families to develop life-long musical skills.

A passionate and dedicated music teacher, Jack cared deeply about every child’s development, regardless of their social background. He devoted his teaching time and his own time to ensuring that all children had the opportunity to engage in music beyond just a set of earphones.

Jack’s life was tragically taken, way too soon, at the age of 28. The foundation aims to build a legacy for his life, building upon the impact that his enthusiasm for life and music has already had on so many children. We seek to provide opportunities that will have a lasting impact on those who benefit from the foundation’s work.

Passion, dedication, devotion, enthusiasm and caring deeply.

These core values of the Jack Lonergan Foundation will ensure the continuation of Jack’s spirit and zest for helping young people and their musical ambitions.
